For over 30 years we've been supporting people to remain living independently and safely in their homes and communities. We love what we do and it shows. Thousands and thousands of local people have been supported by hundreds of local staff through practical services, wellbeing programs, allied health and home modifications.

Adssi HomeLiving Australia offers a wide range of practical services that promote choice, lifestyle and independence. For frail aged and people living with disability, this support can mean the difference between having to move into residential care versus continuing to live in their own home and community. In other words, we can support you to keep living the life you want to lead.

For busy people, it means more free time to do the things you like to do.

Our not for profit organisation has been providing support to people on the Central Coast for more than 30 years.

The team at Adssi HomeLiving Australia is passionate about making a difference in people’s lives.

We can help you if you are frail aged, living with dementia or a disability, or if you care for someone who is. We offer a wide range of practical HomeLiving services that promote choice, lifestyle and independence. We understand the best option for accommodation is often to stay in your own home, with the familiarity of your neighbourhood, friends and family.

Our Team

The team at Adssi HomeLiving Australia is governed by an eight member Board of Directors, chaired by Clive Blunt.

Chief Executive Officer, Jenni Allan, has been with the company since 2004. Her strong financial background and passion for our clients drive the organisation to achieve excellence in client services.

Jenni is supported by a General Manager Services and management staff in HomeLiving Services, Building Services, Finance, Quality, Marketing, Human Resources, Allied Health and Operations.

A professional team of comprehensive assessors, case managers and support advisors ensure that services are client centred.

Our registered allied health professionals include Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists who specialise in enhancing the ability of clients to manage daily living easily and safely. They will come to your home to assess and plan your recovery (from illness or injury), prescribe equipment (e.g. walker) or recommend a home modification (e.g. grab rails). Our qualified trades team undertake electrical, welding, plumbing and carpentry services. We make access ramps and install rails and can completely renovate or modify your bathroom or kitchen.

Our wonderful volunteers give up their free time to help our clients at home and on outings, and they also help us in the office.

Our History

Adssi HomeLiving Australia commenced in 1987 as an incorporated association – Wyong Shire Aged and Disability Support Services Inc. thanks to successful lobbying by a group of local community minded people who were concerned about the lack of services to support frail aged and people living with a disability. In 1995 the organisation changed its name to Aged and Disability Support Services (Wyong Shire) Inc.

We started in the Old Bakery Building at Wyong and in 1991 moved to Tuggerah Lakes Community Centre. In 2008 we moved to the Tuggerah Business Park and in 2012 we bought the building at 3A Pioneer Avenue.

In recognition of our growing size, revenue and corporate governance responsibilities, Aged and Disability Support Services became ADSSI Limited, a company limited by guarantee in 2006.

From those first two projects – Community Options and Home Maintenance and Modifications – we have successfully gained government funding for a wide range of services including domestic assistance, linen, gardens and lawns, social support, several dementia specific projects, respite, ComPacks and Home Care Packages. We are also a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider.

We have successfully gained expansion funding every year in recognition of our ability to comply with funding requirements and to deliver quality services to our target groups.

In 2008 we purchased an occupational therapy business (formerly known as AMEot) that is now an integral part of Adssi HomeLiving Australia and our suite of services.

Our Structure

ADSSI Limited trading as Adssi HomeLiving Australia is a not for profit company limited by guarantee. We commenced operating as Wyong Shire Aged and Disability Support Services Inc. in 1987 offering two funded services – Home Modifications and Maintenance and Community Options – and we still offer these services today.

Since then we have grown into a multi service community business that remains committed to making a difference in the lives of people in our community. We provide services to a broad range of clients who may be eligible for subsidised services (according to government guidelines) or who may choose to pay market rates.

ADSSI Limited is a public benevolent institution with deductible gift recipient status. Donations are fully tax deductible.

Strategic Plan

The Board, staff and volunteers of Adssi HomeLiving Australia are committed to making a difference in the lives of people in our community through the services that we provide. This passion is reflected in our Strategic Plan for 2016– 2019, which was developed by the Board in consultation with a range of stakeholders including our staff and our clients.

The Plan focuses on five key areas of our business:

The Strategic Plan supports Adssi HomeLiving Australia as a viable business; supports our clients through quality and innovative service delivery, and supports our Board, staff and our volunteers through development programs and increased use of technology. It will provide us with the platform to grow the business over the next three years and to provide an increased range of quality services to our clients.
